Kemang Village
Crafting a neighbourhood quality of life
Spread over ten hectares, Kemang Village is a lushly landscaped integrated development, designed to revitalise the Kemang district that is fast becoming a prestigious and sought-after commercial and residential zone. The site is divided into two plots – Kemang Village Residences, which comprises four residential towers of up to 43 storeys; and a mixed-use plot which comprises a hotel, a school and three apartment towers above a retail podium. The buildings were thoughtfully arranged to maximise distances between them and provide unobstructed views of the surroundings.
Details
As the development is located in the last big plot of green in the area, careful steps were taken to preserve as much greenery as possible. The goal was to create an integrated development that respects the existing environment, a beautiful space with lush gardens and tranquil pools punctuating the landscape. Over 2,000 new trees were planted to retain the green characteristic of the area.
The addition of lush gardens and public plazas to retain the feel of lively street life in Kemang enhances the quality of the development.

To extend the plaza visually, bollards and potted plants replace the typical kerb design on the pavements. The cobblestone finish on the pedestrian driveway slows down the vehicular traffic along the internal circuits. Wide sidewalks lined with ledges and balconies encourage activities along the street. The result is a lively retail and F&B street façade that complements the neighbourhood’s residential character.
With conscious efforts to preserve the lush green environment that defines the locale, coupled with elements that add new facilities to the area, Kemang Village is set to become the regional catalyst for future mixed-use developments that embrace sustainable and environmentally sensitive approaches in Jakarta and beyond.
