La Vie
The Suite Life
La Vie, a luxury residential development in Jakarta, adopts a simple linear language which expresses a modern and timeless architecture. The two towers are laid out on the irregular site and within the required setbacks upon an established rectilinear grid in a systematic and rational fashion. The configuration places the two towers in a predominantly north-south orientation, spaced and staggered to create porosity and, at the same time, craft unique and enviable views for every apartment suite.
Suites sized between 90sqm to 165sqm are designed based on a regularised dimensional order that generates consistency in room sizes, structural spans and façade dimensions, translating to an increase in buildability and constructability. Working together with DP Green, this dimensional order is also echoed in the landscaped design approach.
Details
La Vie is a luxurious apartment project located in Denpasar Street, within the Kuningan central business district of Jakarta. Tucked away from the surrounding major roads, the 9,500sqm complex comprises two 3- storey all-suite residential towers that are designed to accommodate modern comforts, practicality, luxury and elegance.
The design enhances the densely populated city’s skyline with contemporary tower silhouette that is simple and unpretentious.
The simple elegant clubhouse provides a communal space for residents and guest to socialise.
Suites are designed based on a regularised dimensional order that generates consistency in room sizes.
The two towers are oriented to offer enviable views for every apartment suite, contributing a memorable silhouette to the skyline.
The 300 all-suites, consisting of two- and three-bedroom apartments, are distributed between the two towers. Tower A – Suite Alee – houses the 118 of the larger suites, including two penthouse suites; while Tower B – Suite Porte – houses the rest of the 182 smaller suites, and an indoor sky pool and gym. Due to the different suite types, the layout demands a delicate balance of form and function.
From afar, the twin tower design contributes a unique and memorable silhouette adding to the existing eclectic nature of Kuningan district skyline. The sense of arrival to La Vie is celebrated by the similar elegant design of the guardhouse surrounded by a complementing forecourt landscape. Transitional and meandering entry road leads one to the porte-cochere in the form of a landscaped courtyard before one is greeted by a grand lobby comprising semi-private spaces for residents and guests to commune.
