Cinematic Universe Made Reality
The Marvel Experience Thailand (TMX) is Southeast Asia’s first themed entertainment park, sited on the expansive grounds of Bangkok’s Mega Bangna shopping centre. Designed to deliver the most immersive experiences for Marvel aficionados and neophytes alike, TMX rolls out an extraordinary experiential route as visitors move through the domes.
With its futuristic façade, each aspect of The Marvel Experience has been carefully articulated to transport visitors forward to a different era and theme reminiscent of scenes from Marvel blockbusters.
The total experiential package is created from the moment visitors arrive at the attraction. A minimalistic and angular façade utilises a stark colour scheme of red, white and black, accentuating symbols of Marvel’s fictional organisations, as if TMX were a location from the movies themselves.
Details
TMX is a sum of its parts; it incorporates many sectional features to culminate in a comprehensive re-creation of a Marvel simulation. Cafes and merchandise shops are seamlessly interspersed as the Avengers Café, Super Hero Snack Bar and the Marvel Experience Super Store. Attraction domes then enhance visitors’ experience by allowing them to weave around strategically placed activity attractions.
Each feature of our design is planned to create the ultimate immersive experience to captivate visitors and transport them to a universe of space odyssey.
In keeping with the Marvel aesthetics, the exterior impresses with its imposing and outstanding features.
Glass panelling and metallic fixtures convey a polished design approach, imbuing a potent feel of the science fiction genre.
The geometrically-patterned flooring and creative use of skylights are aesthetic nuances that enhances the Marvel experience as visitors are transported to a different world.
TMX’s layout is divided into two distinct areas: the ticketing zone and attraction domes. Each is characterised by distinctive design features, with the ticketing zone lined by sleek edges and geometric detailing, complementing themed cafes and exuding the atmosphere of a superhero headquarters. Glass panelling and metallic fixtures convey a polished design approach, imbuing a potent feel of the science fiction genre.
In the attraction domes, a Soft Cool palette scheme with greys and blues creates a mysterious and suspenseful ambience. The spacious domes are surfaced with a triangular lattice structure, creating the perfect stage for the attraction’s hyper-realistic 360-degree 4D stereoscopic projections and immersive virtual reality technology. Linear lighting then creates a gentle glow in areas across the complex, evocative of spaceships from many Marvel movies.
Unlike its temporary counterpart in the United States, The Marvel Experience Thailand is a permanent attraction set to delight the senses for many years to come.
