St Andrew's Village
A distinguished institution
St Andrew’s School has a distinguished place in the history of education in Singapore. Located in the Potong Pasir township, St Andrew’s Village is a comprehensive campus which brings together three schools – St Andrew’s Junior School, St Andrew’s Secondary School and St Andrew’s Junior College – in one location, together with the Church of Ascension, the Ascension Kindergarten, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit and the Diocesan Centre of the Anglican Church in Singapore. The campus is bisected by the Kallang River which runs north to south across the site.

Comprising buildings of up to 7 storeys, the entire development delivers a gross floor area of 87,000sqm. A unique educational community, St Andrew’s Village also houses the Diocescan Centre which occupies the original building of St Andrew’s School. With its fine quadrangle and distinctive rendered fish-scale walls painted in peachy orange, this dignified building has been carefully restored to serve the needs of the Anglican Church.
St. Andrews Village embraces the old cherished values reflected in the heritage buildings to which have been added the best of the new. The result is an educational campus that keeps to the traditional amidst the adoption of modernity.
The Church of the Ascension anchors the eastern half of the campus.
The architectural elements of the old St Andrew’s School – including the roof tiles, timber louvered windows, central quadrangle – were carefully conserved and restored.
St Andrew’s Secondary School.
Woodsville House, which was once the principal’s residence, now serves as a pivotal node for the new secondary school which shares a comprehensive range of facilities with the primary school, including sports fields, an indoor gymnasium, swimming pool, a 1000-seat cultural centre and rock-climbing tower.
The eastern half of the campus is planned around the existing Church of the Ascension with the Ascension Kindergarten at one end, punctuated by informal pockets of green landscape. Occupying the western half of the campus, St Andrew’s Junior College offers a full range of teaching accommodation for pre-university education, including extensive track and field facilities. The college is linked to the eastern half by a pedestrian bridge which traverses Kallang River.
